A Kyoto Shippo Handled Ewer Meiji Period Circa 1880-90 polychrome enamels worked in silver and gilded wire with butterflies flowers and ferns. Overall brocade ground with tapered wire hinged loop handle and lid all with matched fittings. Raised on tripod feet blue enameled interior measures 6"T (15.2 cm) to top of handle body is 3"T (7.6 cm) to top of finial 6"L to spout. (15.2 cm). Ex-collection of Mr. Robert Robinson.

A JAPANESE GILT LACQUERED INRO AND KOZUKA HANDLE 19th century, a four section inro with gold and silver lacquer raised decoration of tree with bird over irises to one side and a cat sleeping under a bamboo tree with butterfly overhead on the other, interior of four compartments with pear nashiji maki-e, with a brown carrying cord (3 x 2 x 3/4 in.)(good estate condition; some very light lifting with loss to lower left hand edge; cord is probably later), and a Kozuka knife handle decorated with gold long tailed turtles (minogame) swimming amidst waves, smooth to the reverse side (1/8 x 3 3/4 x 1/2 in.)(good estate condition).
