TWO MEISSEN FIGURES OF THE 'DANCING HARLEQUIN'modelled after Peter Reinicke and J.J. Kaendler and based on Italian Commedia dell'Arte 'Pulcinella Figure', each on a mound moulded base with applied flowers, each wearing a multi-colored jacket and pantaloons pointed hat, with a large hump, black and red masks each holding a slapstick, both in positioned in a jaunty manner, each marked with blue factory mark in blue underglaze, each with incised model number 941, the gray hat with impressed numerals 52, and painted M62.147 in red overglaze, the green hat with impressed numerals 66, with painter's numeral M62.157A in red overglaze with additional painter's numeral 19 in red overglaze; height: 16 cm (6 1/4 in.)

CONDITION
The porcelain figures are in very good condition. Inspection under UV light shows a repair and restoration to the neck of the Harlequin in the green hat, the other with no sign of restoration.
