Good Victorian Boxed Twenty-Four-Piece Sterling Silver Fruit Service, hallmarked Sheffield, 1878-1883, by Harrison Brothers and Howson, in the traditional "Pistol Handle" shape with acanthus crest, including twelve forks, each with three tines, l. 7", and twelve knives with blunt scimitar-shaped sterling blades, l. 8", the handles pitch-filled, all fitted in a rounded rectangular walnut and walnut burl slant-front box, the lid fitted with a brass escutcheon, h. 11", w. 8-3/4", d. 6", each piece engraved on the handle, and the box on the escutcheon, with a crest of a stag's head attired and collared dancetty.
