A good strong impression on Rives watermarked paper.Benton's comments in Fath read: ''Not much story. Britt Adler, a boy of our neighborhood, posed for it some fifteen years ago. Based on a common incident in Missouri country - a boy, on the lake or river bank, baiting his hook. No doubt the same occurs in Texas wherever, and whenever, there's water and fish.''Image measures 14 x 10 on a 18 x 13 inch sheet with an overall frame size of 22.75 x 19.5 inches.Very good condition, the complete sheet with deckle edges, not laid down, no damage or repair. There is a very pale outline from a previous mat framing the image.
