ANN HATHAWAY'S COTTAGE, RARE - ROYAL DOULTON FIGURINERare replica of the home of Shakespeare's wife, Anne Hathaway. Thatched roof, multicolored garden flowers, and many exterior details of the Tudor dwelling.
During the 1920s, Royal Doulton produced a series of beautiful figurines modeled after famous cottages of the U.K., including one based on the 12-roomed farmhouse where Anne Hathaway, the wife of William Shakespeare, lived as a child, about a mile west of Stratford-upon-Avon. Spacious, and with several bedrooms, today it is set in extensive gardens and is open to the public as a museum. Royal Doulton backstamp. Marked 'Ann Hathaway's Cottage' to the front of the base.
