U.S. Model 1832 Foot Sword with
U.S. Model 1832 Foot Sword with Scabbard 19'' blade with three fullers brass fish scale handle. Inspector's initials of JH on one side of the cross guard RHKW on the other side stamped into the brass. These are the inspectors??T initials of Joseph Hannis and Robert H.K. Whitney who inspected the swords for the United States Ordnance Department. Also the number 7 appears under Hannis' initials. Sword and scabbard mounts have been nickel plated. Condition: Very good.
