ANTIQUE FIGURAL "HENRI VOISIN" FRENCH MANTEL CLOCK 14" x 9 ½" x 5" Gilt bronze neoclassical style clock, white enamel dial, marked on dial and the movement "Henri Voisin", figure on the right of a classically dressed maiden, pointing at the central cartouche depicting Louis XVI in profile. Surrounded by Oak leaves and acorns. Black enameled wooden base with gilt rosettes. The case is gold gilt bronze using the mercury evaporative technique. The movement has a cord suspension, which was popular from 1840 thru 1860. The clock runs as well as chimes (hour/half-hour), but will require a simple strip and clean as nothing has been done as far as maintenance for decades. Mated to lot 387.
