It is possible that this is a secretarial copy. Mentions governors Colden (New York) and Penn(Pennsylvania), as well as Lord Botetourt (royal governor of Virginia), in relation to "a general plea for the regulation of the Indian trade." Letter measures 10" x 8". This document is one of several dozen important signed pieces in today's salthat were part of a large collection of American historical documents from 1650 through WWII.
