CONDITION
Observed in frame. The painting appears very good original condition. No apparent issues to the naked eye. Inspection under UV shows a heavy even layer of varnish but no apparent restoration or repairs.

Celebrating regional traditional costumes, the series was started 1937 by the Bavarian artist, Resl Schroder-Lechner (1910-2000), who was a student of the Academy of Vienna. Until her death in 2000, Schroder-Lechner designed her smartly attired traditional dress figures in pairs. The presentation was often preceded by months of in-depth historical research.
