Harry Hering (American, 1887-1967). Still Life with Fruit. Oil on canvas, signed at the lower right, approx. 16" x 20", framed in a heavily antiqued gilt original frame overall approx. 24-1/4" x 28". A New York artist that specialized in still life and landscape paintings, Mr. Hering's scenes also included Cape Cod, California and the southwest. His exhibitions include the Art Institute of Chicago, The National Academy of Design, The Pennsylvania of Fine Art. His pieces are found in the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Newark Museum.
