Dentzel painted carousel horse figure (Dentzel Steam & Electric Carousels, Philadelphia, 1867-1928), rearing horse with articulated features, inner row prancer, glass eyes, simply carved harness, late 19th/early 20th century, 52-1/2 x 61 x 11 in., mounted on removable brass pole with spearhead finial and wheeled four-legged base, total height 106 in.; fitted on later iron stand with casters. Probably modern paint with scattered retouch, some probable repair at joints and laminations (largely obscured by paint), leather straps, stirrups and bit later replacements, repainted surface probably covering several repairs, surface separations at hocks.
