Copy of the original made for Francesco I de Medici (1541-1587) as designed by the great Florentine Renaissance sculptor and goldsmith Benvenuto Cellini (1500-1587). The original is now in the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen in Dresden, Germany. 29 1/2" x 18 3/4". Light corrosion and whitening. Holes drilled top and bottom center edge.
