Higgins exhibited at the Boston Art Club and the Boston Athenaeum, as well as Leonard's Auction Rooms. His work also appeared in the "Boston Evening Transcript" of March 18, 1874, his works often depicting New England, New York's Adirondack Mountains, and Florida.
