An Edo period hardwood manju netsuke carved as eleven no masks 1.5ins Estimate ?250-300 Slight dent to the hair on one of the masks otherwise a bit grubby and in good condition generally. Himatoshi is formed as a central hole so the cord can come out of a number of piercings around the side. A Signed Fukagawa Samurai Covered
A Signed Fukagawa Samurai Covered Porcelain Jar Meiji Period Signed "Hichozan" Mountain Butterfly Hizen Area in Arita. The bulbous covered jar measures apprx. 9-5/8"H to the top of the flattened finial. It is hand decorated in iron red blue black and yellow with gilt accenting depicting Samurai in various poses with a foliate design around the top and matching designs on the lid. It has six character mark on the underside in iron red and other marks in iron red inside the lip and "C S Parsons 1974" also written inside the lip.
