ANTIQUE MYTHOLOGICAL TAPESTRY Circa 1800 or earlier, woven in multicolor wool threads, depicting the Greek mythological story of Artemis and Actaeon in vignettes surrounded by greenery and distant castles: when Actaeon spies on Artemis bathing, she turns him into a deer and he is then killed by his own hunting dogs, with later fabric border and backing attached, with metal brackets for wall display.

ANTIQUE SPOT MOTIF SAMPLER DATED 1786, NETHERLANDS Worked in multi-color silk threads on linen, top register with cartouche enclosing maker's initials "LVG" and date of 1786, the well balanced composition with a variety of floral motifs, crowns, and trees and a center cornucopia with a carnation bloom, the whole within a finely worked strawberry border, conservation mounted and presented in a painted black and gold cove molded frame.

Dramatic Religious Robe, ca. 1900, the sunburst ecru satin cross encapsulated in circles of light, trim is finely embroidered and depicts sprays of lilies alternating with a lily rondel in gold, pink, green, blue and wine colors, the design reminiscent of Pugin, lining is oxblood cotton sateen, with small self-covered buttons at side vents, l. from shoulder 44", condition: good, with slight fading and grease spot on right sleeve, cleanable.
