Umbrella Portion of a Howdah A handmade textile umbrella originally used as part of a howdah a carriage which is positioned on the back of an elephant or occasionally some other animal used most often in the past to carry wealthy people in a procession or ceremony earlier used for hunting and warfare. This example is stitched and embroidered with colorful appliques and fringing in brown ochre beige and rust. The interior has another tenting. Measures apprx. 70"D. Can be used as an unusual ceiling ornament. Comes with a metal pole.

VINTAGE ARABIC COPPER DALLAH COFFEE POTCoffee pot has etched design, a bronze handle and ventilation cut outs.
One of the animals on the lid is missing. A dallah is a traditional Arabic coffee pot that has been used for centuries to brew Qahwa, a type of coffee made through many steps and Khaleeji, a spicy bitter coffee served during feasts like Eid al-Fitr.

Two Jordanian or Palestinian Bedouin tribe side daggers. 20th century Islamic or Arabic known locally as Shibriya the blades are short (5.25'' and 5.5'') re-curving and double edged with an acute tip both are also engraved with Arabic inscription at the base of the blade. The grips as well as the scabbards are covered with engraved white metal. The scabbards are set with a belt loop at the rear sides. Both daggers have inset red beads in the hilt one has green and red beads inset into the scabbard and the other has gold tone highlights across the scabbard and hilt. Daggers are both sold along with and displayed inside a glass shadow box. Condition: minor dings and dents to metal grips and scabbards see images. Each measures 10.5'' long total x 1.4'' wide. Shadow box measures 18'' tall x 6'' wide. Shipping weight 3.1 lbs.

PAIR GHANDARA STYLE BODHISATTVA FIGURES RIDING ANIMALSPair (2) of Chinese or Southeast Asian carved polychrome wooden sculptures, each depicting a deity with stylized flame halo and elongated ear lobes, hands in the shuni (shoonya) mudra holding a small orb, and seated in vajra position atop a lotus form saddle on an adorned animal. Includes one (1) Samantabhadra figure with red flame halo seated atop an elephant and one (1) figure with yellow flame halo seated atop a blue temple or foo lion. Illegible pencil inscription to underside of foo lion. Both with fitted hardwood stands. Ranging in size from 11 3/8" H x 7" W x 2 3/4" D to 12 7/8" H x 8" W x 3 1/4" D.
