Pine ship captain's desk, yellow(?) and white pine throughout, two-part construction, upper case with slant lid opening to interior fitted with four dovetailed drawers over long drawer, lower case with cabinet doors and shelved interior, original brass bail handles, mellow old patina, probably American, 19th century, 46 x 38 x 24-1/4 in. Normal wear, some finish losses and water spots on base, abrasions and separations overall, lacking one interior shelf, minor repairs to door frames. Property of a Dahlgren family descendant.
