VERY RARE ROYAL DOULTON FIGURINE,
VERY RARE ROYAL DOULTON FIGURINE, THE HUNTSMAN HN1226Beautifully hand decorated in a vibrant red coat with black top hat, standing elegantly on a stylized base.
Pink was a term originally used to describe the red hunt coat. Many say it was named after the tailor who, supposedly, made the first red hunt coat, Mr. Thomas Pinque, (pronounced, “Pinkâ€), of London. He reportedly chose deep red Melton for the jacket because if the hunter got blood on it, the stains would not show.
