Descended in Goncharoff family.

Attributed to Francesco Londonio
Attributed to Francesco Londonio (Italian 1723-1783) "Shepherd with His Young Family and Flock" oil on canvas unsigned 13 1/2 in. x 10 1/4 in. in a later frame. Note: A student of the Late Baroque artist Ferdinando Porta (Italian 1689-1767) Londonio was an engraver and painter who excelled at accurate and detailed renderings of farm animals particularly sheep and goats. The present lot is similar in subject style and composition to an oil painting of a peasant family at the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg. Reference: Bénézit. Dictionnaire des Peintres.
