INDIAN GANDHARA STONE CARVED HEAD,13/14TH C. An Indian Gandhara stone carved head on a wooden stand, 13/14th C. Nice carved detail of possibly a Bodhissata head, from the Gandhara region which at the time absorbed cultural influences from diverse civilizations. The head is a fragment, with part of its rear right side missing, but one can still see the entire face, headdress, and left ear. Mounted on a cube wooden base that had rear support.
