An Ingraham Shelf Clock Venered wood case with Gothic arch circular face with Roman numerals on paper coil chime circular eglomise panel in lower section of door with lion and eagle motif interior back with printed paper laminated on describing the Eight Day clock by Ingraham & Co. Bistol Conn. and directions. Comes with key and pendulum. Time and strike.Elias Ingraham (1805-1885) worked as a designer and cabinet maker for George Mitchell in 1828. He designed made and sold the first sharp gothic better known as the steeple clock. During WWII and the Korean War the company made anti-aircraft fuses.
