LATE 19TH CENTURY Early transfer ware porcelain plate with a ridged ("pie crust-style") iron brown rim: seven plates, 7 ?"; two - 8 ½", and three - 9 ?" (9 ¾"). A heavy hand thrown plate showing the potters rings, marked the bottom. The designs are of Mt. Fiji, mountains, floral designs and other motifs; the foot rim is unglazed but the base is glazed. Provenance: old private collection of high-rank diplomatic missions' representative to Asian States in 1970's/1980's.
