Johnston and in the rear of lockplate Middtn Conn 1854 in three lines. Condition: Barrel and hammer?are a dark brown with pitting. Stock is cracked?at the butt. Some old repairs behind the lock. Missing the ramrod and hammer screw is broke off. It is a well used pistol. Carved in the stock on the left side is "Holly To Bok."

US MODEL 1842 I.N. JOHNSON PERCUSSION PISTOLA Very fine example of this trarer pistol, made originally in percussion. The wood is excellent, and the metal is uniformly dark, with very clear stamps, The barrel is stamped US over S.K. over P. There are no visible cartouches on the stock, but there is a cross carved into the sideplate area. Dimensions: 14.5 inches long overall, with the barrel being 8.5 inches. Processing and shipping within the continental U.S. $55.00 plus 1.5% replacement cost insurance.
Condition:
Overall very good, with excellent wood, and brass. There is some minor rust on the lock and the vent. The lock functions crisply and perfectly. There is some minor pitting st the breech. Walnut stock with steel furniture. Condition: All metal has a nice dark brown patina with some flecking of darker brown. Markings are sharp and clear; left side of stock with nice cartouche. Stock has a crack through on both sides in front of triggerguard.
