A Carved Ivory Ornament of Rabbits, 20th Century The naturally arched shape is carved with the image of six rabbits raiding a garden, with black and aubergene color rubbed in to the crevices to accent the shapes, applied black bead eyes. Overall the ivory measures approx. 10"W x 1-1/2"W x 3-1/2"H and is temporarily attached to a wood base with floral cling, measuring approx. 10-3/4"W x 2-3/8"D x 1"H. No maker's marks found.

Pope Jr. in 1959 and together they built a Thoroughbred horse racing empire that included 27 stakes winners in the United States and in Europe.
