PERCUSSION RIFLE. Half stock maple .38 caliber 33-1/2'' heavy octagonal barrel set and hair triggers brass and silver accoutrements. Buttstock and inlay work are rough old oxidation in barrel hammer works but needs adjusted. Old signature on barrel is not quite legible probably ends in Smith.

Patent breech with double-set triggers. Iron furniture iron patchbox. Walnut stock with brass tip. Condition: Barrel has sharp edges with a nice patina and some staining at the breech. Lock has been cleaned to grey with some pitting. Walnut stock has been refinished.

PERCUSSION HALF STOCK RIFLE.
PERCUSSION HALF STOCK RIFLE. Attributed to Lancaster Pennylvania has a rounded octagonal barrel 38 1/4' long in .44 caliber. Front sight is a silver blade and rear a deep ''V''. Dual triggers with one being a set and the other a hair trigger. Trigger guard and butt plate are both brass cap on forestock silver. The lock plate is lightly scrolled and the mark ''--tr. PA'' barely visible. Walnut stock oil finished and checkered at wrist. Wood has a very dark patina with some scratches metal all has some pitting and errosion.

Half Stock Percussion Rifle by ''E. D.'' .31 cal. 39'' octagonal barrel with nicely made brass under rib. Top of barrel signed with the initials E. D. engraved in script. Josp Golcher marked forward action percussion lock. Double-set triggers with brass furniture. Nicely striped curly maple stock. Comes with original leather hunting bag and powder horn. ''E. D.'' could be Edward Day of Trumbull County. Condition: Barrel has a nice untouched brown patina with some staining and pitting around the percussion drum and nipple. Lock and hammer have a brown patina mixing with some pitting. Stock with most of the original finish blending with a dark patina. A crack in stock on right side forward of the lock about 3'' long running at a diagonal from lock to the barrel. Brass furniture has a dark untouched patina. Leather hunting bag is complete with some cracking and crazing. It contains percussion cap cans and mold. Horn is in excellent condition.
