JACKSON LEE NESBITT (MO/OK, 1913-2008) "November Evening", 1946, aquatint etching, titled and signed in pencil, in the manner of Thomas Hart Benton with the original Associated American Artist's label. Depicts man on horseback with dog at heel, traveling up a rutted country road into a sunset. Unframed, loose in paper mat (AAA), in foamcore folio. Sheet size: 12" x 15", impression: 8 3/4" x 11 3/4". Toned.
Jackson Lee Nesbitt studied under Thomas Hart Benton and John de Martelly while a student at the Kansas City Art Institute. Benton in particular exerted a strong influence on Nesbitt's work, as is evident in this example. "November Evening" won the Eames Prize in 1946 from the Society of American Etchers.

His connection to the stars, "including David Bowie, Jocelyn Wildenstein, and everyone in between," generated enthusiasm and started new trends in the design world.
