JACOB PETIT PORCELAIN AND BRONZE MANTEL CLOCKDESCRIPTION: A 19th Cent. Porcelain mantel clock by Jacob petit features in a light blue ground color, decorated along the center bottom with courting couple scene signed "Petit". The sides and top of the clock are garnished by floral vine applications. The center features a white porcelain dial with Arabic numerals and gilt bronze hands, accented with floral motifs. Marked "Made in France and additionally marked on the movement "France".

CIRCA 1850 FRENCH MANTLE "MOTTU A PARIS" CLOCK 4" thick x 11 ½" wide x 15 ½" tall A white enamel dial with Roman numerals for all chapters, with all minute hash marks on a continuous circle at the dials edge. Trefoil blued steel hands. An 80 mm jaypy type silk suspension movement is utilized. The gilt bronze case features a young boy with sickle and a sheaf of wheat. The lower portion of the case is reticulated and inset with panels of sapphire glass. Movement and dial marked "Mottu A Paris".

A French Provincial Tallcase Clock Apprx. 92"H x 20"W x 7-3/4"D the multiple part case has glazed doors to access the works bracket base painted and glazed finish. The clock face is enameled with Roman numerals and "Menard Charleuf" and "a Montceau-les-Mines"; the face surrounded by an embossed floral metal frame painted and gilt. The lower door houses the pendulum and weights; the pendulum embellished with an embossed bipartite gilt metal ornament with colors to match the framing of the face with flowers and birds.
