Various silversmiths and retailers, including Kirk, Lupp, Lewis & Smith, Matson, James Watts, set of 4 John Vernon serving spoons and 5 teaspoons. 1988 grams total. Large ladle 13 3/4"L. Most monogrammed. Tarnishing and dents throughout, case for teaspoons with losses and scratches to leather.

Including a Gorham sterling Knickerbocker etched carving set with stainless blade/tines; a Gorham sterling Knickerbocker etched knife with a stainless blade; a Gorham sterling Rouen solid salad serving spoon with a gold wash to the interior of bowl - significant losses to gold wash; a French Canadian sterling Carl Poul Petersen serving spoon; a Jacobi & Jenkins sterling Repousse soup ladle; (2) monogrammed Jacobi & Jenkins sterling Repousse square flat handle knives with sterling blades; a monogrammed German .800 silver serving spoon; an English silver gravy ladle with horn? handle, loss and split to handle - with London city stamps, maker's mark of Samuel Godbehere & Edward Wigan and an unidentifiable date letter; a James Watts coin silver shell bowl serving spoon - with a monogram that has been removed. Total approx. weight of sterling is 15.29 troy oz (gross) not including items with non-sterling components; total approx. weight of .800 silver is 2.5 troy oz (gross); and the total approx. weight of coin silver is 1.63 troy oz (gross). From a Chappaqua , NY estate. Dimensions: Carl Poul Petersen serving spoon measures approx. 14 1/4" in length. Condition: Good, with light surface scratches and minor dings/dent.

Includes 8 teaspoons with C O mark attributed to Clement Oscamp (working Cincinnati, circa 1849-1865), monogram L or I; 1 sugar shell spoon with horse head and chevron pseudohallmarks for James Watts of Philadelphia; and 1 large punch or soup ladle marked Jos. Mendel in cartouche, 13-1/2"L. Also includes 4 forks marked for W.C. Byrd & Co. (working Memphis, 1859-1874) and 4 marked Duhme & Co., Cincinnati, (working 1842-1896). Teaspoons monogrammed L, Duhme forks monogrammed M or W. 27.22 oz troy. Provenance: the collection of John Montague, Memphis, Tenn.

Clark & Co / Memphis in separate rectangles (Frederick Harvey Clark, working Memphis circa 1850-d. 1866 as F.H. Clark & Co.), 3-1/2"H. 2nd item: Small cup, likely a child's cup, with wide band of applied floral relief decoration, monogrammed L.F., marked F.H. Clark in rectangle. 2"H. 3rd item: Cup of tapered cylindrical form with engine turned design to body, Rococo style handle, front cartouche inscribed "N.P. McLemore to M.E. Thrift." Marked on underside Merriman in rectangle (attrib. James E. Merriman, working Memphis 1841-47 with Frederick H. Clark and from 1847-1860 and later on his own and in partnership with others), along with a horse head pseudohallmark attrib. James Watts, Philadelphia. 3"H. 9.08 oz troy combined weight. 3"H. Condition:
2nd cup has repaired 1/4" tear at rim and significant denting to upper and lower edge. Other cups in overall excellent condition with minor dents and light scratching.
