It is hand decorated in iron red blue black and yellow with gilt accenting depicting Samurai in various poses with a foliate design around the top and matching designs on the lid. It has six character mark on the underside in iron red and other marks in iron red inside the lip and "C S Parsons 1974" also written inside the lip.
