A Japanese Influence Glazed Pottery Vase Gracefully rounded shape wit a narrow neck and slightly flared lip molded with flower petal shape sections running from the neck down the sides decorated with Japanese style floral and geometric designs in polychrome gilt and moorage with the background grading from purple at the top to iron red near the base. Small fragment of red on the underside may have been a wax seal; otherwise unmarked. Apprx. 9-1/2"H x 8-1/2"D.

JAPANESE KUTANI PORCELAIN VASE. Hand painted with opposing reserves of figures on one side exotic bird and flora on the other; jar shape. Marked in calligraphy underfoot. Meiji Period. Height: 12 inches. The vase is in very good condition with light wear throughout a small amount of gilding loss and no visible chips or repairs.
