JEFFERSON TESTER OIL ON CANVAS "GRAPE WINE...."Jefferson Tester (American, 1900 - 1972) oil on canvas signed "Tester-53" & titled "Grape-Wine-St. Tropez-France" verso & "Tester" to lower left depicting two ladies with multiple wine bottles, possibly bottling them. Painting is unframed, on wood stretcher, & having a height of 25" with width of 30". All measurements are approximate. Jefferson Tester was born in Mountain City, Tennessee at the turn of the century & lived in New Rochelle, NY. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago where he later exhibited, & also exhibited at the Worcester Museum of Art and Carnegie Institute.
