(30.5 x 25.1cm) note: This painting will be listed in Patricia Hills's forthcoming catalogue raisonne of the work of Eastman Johnson. A letter from Ms. Hills discussing this painting will be included with this lot. ,500-2,500 Oil on board. A few, very small, scattered nicks and abrasions. There is a large scratch along the left side which runs from nearly top to bottom. The surface around the area of the damage has a very matte appearance. There are numerous, small, scattered spots of a matte appearance on the otherwise glossy varnish surface. There appears to be approximately three small areas of old retouch in the lower center quadrant.
