CONDITION
The sculpture appears in good condition. Rubbing visible to the body and discoloration around the feet and base. Scattered scuffs and nicks to the body visible to the naked eye, most notably to the legs, arms, hand and face. Two minor losses to the silver patina, to the elbow and side body.

Obverse has a portrait of Joseffy and reverse has a hand striking E Minor on a piano with "From his Friends and Admirers New York, 1911" Jeseffy was a Hungarian pianist and professor of Piano at the New York National Conservatory 1888-1906. It was said that he preferred the smaller income of a teacher to the bright lights of the stage, which was unusual after being declared a master Pianist at his international debut in Berlin 1872
