This is a vintage cylinder art vase, with an oval shape, matte finish exterior and glossy interior, further decorated with an abstract floral relief motif that meets round the sides. It is stamped on base with logo as well as model number 740/2 and signature "M. Frey". CIRCA: 20th Century. ORIGIN: Germany. DIMENSIONS: H: & 1/2" W: 4 1/4". CONDITION: Good condition. 19TH CENTURY BERLIN KPM PORTRAIT PRESENTATION VASEA very fine Berlin KPM vase with a cobalt blue ground, the front with a circular medallion within a gilt frame depicting Empress Josephine de Beauharnais, the first wife of Napoleon I. The reverse extravagantly gilt with swans, storks and dolphins. The molded handles taking the form of palm flower heads, sitting atop a square plinth. The portrait signed Wagner. The underside with underglaze blue scepter mark and impressed characters F I 1. 2nd half 19th Century.
