Carl Kauba (Austria/United States 1865-1922) A slightly risque automaton cast in bronze with cold painted finishes initially appearing to be a smiling maiden in classical garments lounging on a bear skin thrown over a divan apprx. 8-1/2" x 3-1/2" set on a marble tray base with an arched shape at the front apprx. 7" x 8-3/8". When the clasp of her belt is opened lady's dress parts and she springs to a standing position in the buff. The bronze is signed on the tail of the bear skin "C. Kauba".
