ANTIQUE MASONIC KNIGHTS TEMPLAR SWORD & SCABBARDDESCRIPTION: An antique masonic knights templar sword with the original scabbard. The maker of the blade is M.C. Lilley Co. from Columbus Ohio. The blade is heavily decorated with engraved motifs and an engraved name inscription that reads "Chas. G. Gilbert". The sword handle is made of bone, and has masonic hand painted symbol decorations. This sword is completed with the original scabbard.
CIRCA: Late 19th Century.

Robert Macoy and Dan Sickles were business partners from 1859-1870 selling Masonic and Freemasonry regalia. Engraved name on scabbard appears to be " D. R. Printup". Approx. 38" overall length, 30 3/4" blade with 13" fuller. Scabbard has double headed eagle, cross inside of a crown with the phrase "Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life" and other Masonic images. Scabbard and sword have age appropriate wear. Light oxidation to blade. Wood grip is free of cracks, with some finish loss.
