  *Model 1899 Springfield Krag Carbine .30-40 caliber 22'' round barrel S/N 362133. 1901 carbine rear barrel sight with ''C'' marking on the side of base. Walnut stock and 99 hand-guard. Condition: Barrel retains 98% of the original blue finish. Some light scratches around the muzzle case by a sight protector putting on and taking it off. Receiver retains 99% of the original blue mottled finish. Stock and forearm are in almost mint condition with some very minute nicks. Excellent ''JSA/1901'' cartouche. This is for the collector that wants a great one.

Barrel marked, "NICKEL STEEL BARREL ESPECIALLY FOR SMOKELESS POWDER 30 U.S. MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN CONN. U.S.A. PATENTED NOV. 5. 95. NOV. 12. 95. AUG. 17. 97. JAN. 25. 98. AUG. 23. 98. AUG. 5. 1907.". Tang marked, "Model 1895 Trade Mark REG. IN U.S. PAT. OFF.". Walnut stocks, metal frame, round nickel steel barrel. Standard sights. Barrel length - 28". Overall length - 46 1/2". Serial number corresponds to year 1915. (Higher-resolution photos are available at www.caseantiques.com) Condition: Excellent mechanics. Bore is good. Stocks have good patina with normal handling marks. Slight crack at left side of tang. Markings are crisp overall. Barrel has thinning blue. Receiver has no finish. Lever and magazine have traces of blue.
