TWO GURKHA KUKRI KNIVES IN SHADOWBOX FRAMETwo (2) Gurkha Kukri knives including one with Wootz Damascus style blade, together with a leather scabbord with Arabic inscription. All housed in a shadowbox frame. Both blades measure approx. 12" L, one measures approx 16" total L, the other approx. 19 1/4" L. Box measures 3" H x 25 1/4" L x 13" D.
Condition:
All items appear to be in overall good condition with evidence of use wear, not examined out of the frame.

An Antique Tibetan "Phurbu" Ritual Dagger, ca. 19th Century or Earlier Gilt and silvered bronze, of impressive proportions and visually powerful form with gilt and silver highlights and brown patina. The lower half of the shaft consists of a three sided blade that emerges from the mouth of a makara (mythical aquatic creature) guarding the joint of the hilt and the blade. Then a "vajra" gilt thunderbolt with eight prongs. The finial has three wrathful heads of the phurbu deity, Hayagriva. Measures approx. 14-1/2"L.
