E. JOSEPH FONTAINE WINTER LANDSCAPE PAINTING Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Italy,1929-2004 Impressionist depiction over a densely packed forest with bare trees covered in freshly fallen snow. Fontaine, most notable for his Make Way for Ducklings sculpture on Newbury Street in Boston, Massachusetts, went to school at Tufts University studying Art History and English with painting classes at the Fogg Art Museum, and later a law degree from Harvard Law. Fontaine started his life as a lawyer, eventually leaving his firm to create art and travel.
