MacDonald, "The Old Flag, The Old Policy, The Old Leader", published by The Industrial League and printed by the Toronto Litho Company. This poster was the property of John Robinson, born in Maynard, north of Prescott, who became a painter and paper hanger around 1860. This poster was loaned by the Robinson family to the Grenville Historical Society for its Centennial Confederation celebration (stamped with Historical Society mark). To be sold with 2 notices printed by Robinson offering a reward against damage to any of his poster / bill hangings. In good condition and strong colours as it has been stored in a hand soldered tin tube. Ex Lawless collection. Dimensions, 42" x 28". FRANCAIS: Affiche de John A. Cruikshank worked in the last quarter of the 18th century and was one of the main suppliers of trade silver to the Northwest Company in addition to producing domestic wares and religious silver. Cruikshank était l'un des principaux fournisseurs d'argent de commerce de la Northwest Company, en plus de produire des articles domestiques et de l'argent d’items religieux.

  BROAD AXE BY MOCOCK, MONTREALA 19th century broad axe stamped within an oval "__Mocock, Montreal". W. Mocock and his son T.J. Mocock produced axes in the city from 1864-1889. Pitted blade with old handle, however, surface rust over the mark has been cleaned to reveal the mark. Dimensions, 32" x 9". FRANCAIS: Large hache du 19ème siècle estampée dans un ovale "__Mocock, Montréal". W. Mocock et son fils T.J. Mocock ont produit des haches de 1864 à 1889. Lame piquée à la rouille, vieux manche, la rouille de surface a été nettoyée pour révéler la marque.
