She garnered one-thousand pound contracts when 100 pounds was a gentleman's annual income, and became the principle soloist singer at the Haymarket until she retired in 1792 to raise the four daughters she had with actor John Bannister, who she had married in 1783. Housed in a gold molded frame under glass and a french-ruled mat captioned with name of artist and subject. OS: 29" x 20 1/2", SS: 19" x 12". Edge toned.
