QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY ? ?????????of globular form, the exterior painted with elegant ladies in an outdoor setting, respectively carrying a wrapped qin musical instrument, ruyi sceptre, and a circular covered box, all under a ruyi cloud band on the shoulders, the base with a double circle in underglaze blue, the domed cover adorned with a baby wearing a bib, crawling on a large plantain leaf while holding a blossoming lotus in his right hand(1)19cm highProvenance: Private Scottish collection, inherited from current owner's grandmother. The late grandmother would buy from auctions in London or the West Country where she was based. The collection was formed in the mid-20th century.
