A Russian Bronze Figural Group Evgeny Aleksandrovich Lanceray (Lansere) (1848-1886) Peasants from the Province of Riazan returning from the Fields depicting two peasant women and a girl on a cart one of the women is brandishing a whip toward the peasant boy riding the horse which is hitched to the cart while her fellow passengers laugh raised on a naturalistic oval base the base signed E. Lanceray in Cyrillic dated 1871 and inscribed with the F. Chopin foundry in Cyrillic further bearing the Russian Ministry of Finance Stamp and France in Latin. Length 24 inches.
