German Hanovarian Waterloo Medal and Table Medal The medal was made of silver and was 34.5 mm in diameter. It was fitted with a steel ring and clip. The ribbon was crimson with?light blue edging.This medal is named around the rim to: Soldat Casten Huehsing Landwehr Battilion. The Hanovarian medal was instituted by the Prince Regent for award to survivors from Hanover to all ranks who served at the Battles of Ligny Quatre Bras and Waterloo 16th-18th June 1815. Also with this medal is a German table medal that translates "Fear God and back down?from nobody." Condition: Very good.

Hermann Schlegel and A. H. Verster van Wulverhorst Traite de Fauconnerie published by Arnz & Comp. Leiden and Dusseldorf (1844-1853) folio 27 1/2 in. x 20 in. text in French with maroon 3/4 morocco over marbled boards gilt spine with raised bands; featuring pictorial lithographed title-page with 11 vignettes illustrative of falconry after J.B. Sonderland mounted 12 hand-colored lithographed plates of falcons after J. Wolf 2 hand-colored lithographed plates of falconry accessories after Portman and von Wouw 2 tinted lithographed plates on India paper of heron hawking after Sonderland also with dedication page to Guillaume III King of Holland; preface 90 pages of text. Note: Sold to Benefit the Acquisition Fund Morris Museum Augusta GA. Note: ''The finest work on falconry which has ever been produced; not only on account of the beauty of the plates wherein the hawks are depicted life-size and of the natural colours but also for the general accuracy of the letterpress" (Harting). Wolf's falcon plates established his reputation as a bird artist and led to commissions from many of the most noted ornithological authors of the day including Elliot and Gould. Gould in fact owned Wolf's original water-colour for the plate of the Greenland falcon. ''The life-size illustrations of birds are by far the finest ever produced in any book on falconry.
