The pedestal has a number of chips and tight age lines. Overall height is 26 1/2". Provenance: Collection Museo de Arte de Ponce, Puerto Rico.

ROSEVILLE ART POTTERY 'ROSECRAFT' PANEL VASE, ROSEVILLE 'DONATELLO' LOW CUT-FLOWER BOWL AND 'DONATELLO' FLOWER FROGROSEVILLE ART POTTERY 'ROSECRAFT' PANEL VASE, ROSEVILLE 'DONATELLO' LOW CUT-FLOWER BOWL AND 'DONATELLO' FLOWER FROG, Roseville, OH, circa 1920-1925, printed blue RV. monogram to the vase and bowl, the vase, molded with panels of stylized dandelions, matte yellow, olive-green and brown glazes; the low bowl molded after the Antique with a continuous band of paired putti at various pursuits in a wooded landscape, matte brown and green glazes, dia: 8.5 in.; and a serrated flower frog pierced with eight holes, the flutes lined in green (3) Provenance: Estate of Ronald Sperling Literature: From 1904 to 1909, Frederick Hurten Rhead was the Art Director of the Roseville Pottery. He is directly associated with the Della Robbia line. As director, he is also noted as designing or over-seeing the design of the Donatello, Mostique and Paule lines. The Donatello line was introduced in 1916 after his departure. The Rosecraft line was introduced in 1921.
