Laurie Harden is an illustrator and painter, and has been, it seems, all her life. It is her first love and abiding passion. She works in oils, gouche, pastels, charcoal and pencil. Laurie studied at Kansas City Art Institute and Rhode Island School of Design, where she graduated with a BFA in Illustration. Her work is widely exhibited, awarded, commissioned and collected, by both a domestic and an international clientele. Laurie exhibits widely, and has been teaching art for over twenty five years. (DE CREEFT) GOULET (NY, 1925 - ) "Garden", carved serpentine stone, signed on left edge and dated 1976, depicting a reclining voluptuous woman lying against a roughly chiseled reticulated field, includes the original black stone block base having a paper label on the underside giving the title, the sculpture is not attached, rests on a single bronze pin, the sculpture itself is 8" x 14, the block base is 2" tall. The only damage is a repaired crack at the back of the mounting hole.

LAURENCE, Sydney Mortimer, (American, 1865-1940): Northern Lights, Oil/Canvas, 16'' x 20'', signed lower right, gilded two-tone frame. Laurence was a late 19th/early 20th Century American Impressionist who studied in New York and Paris. He is most famous for his Alaskan scenes, as well his landscapes of the Northwest.CONDITION: Ready to hang; recently restored to perfection. There were several small punctures with minor fleck, which were repaired beyond detection, and the painting was cleaned and varnished, with several dottings of inpaint( visible by blacklight only.)
