Seven figurines including a boy in Elizabethan garb a boy and girl in Northern European dress boy kneeling in prayer girl kneeling in prayer kneeling girl holding bird on a wooden base and a skiing rabbit 4.75'' to 9''h. Together with two matching Mother's Day plates 8.25''d. a Lenox Santa Claus 4.75''h. and a small bird sculpted from glass and minerals 6''l. Eleven pieces total. Boy in fancy dress shows minor staining on calves. Boy in Northern European dress has very minor surface scratches on left thigh. Some discoloration to girl kneeling with bird (possibly residue?). Skiing rabbit has a broken ski and a loose pole. One Mother's Day plate shows marks and scuffs to the reverse and edge and two small marks on face of plate. Bird has been repaired. NAS 9/27/12

SOVIET PORCELAIN FIGURE OF AN OLONETS WOMAN BASED ON THE 'PEOPLES OF RUSSIA SERIES'SOVIET PORCELAIN FIGURE OF AN OLONETS WOMAN BASED ON THE 'PEOPLES OF RUSSIA SERIES' , Russian, mid-to-late 20th Century, after a model by Pavel Kamensky, blue sickle and hammer mark, modeled standing in traditional regional dress, her right hand holding the hem of her headscarf, h: 7.25 in. This figure is based on an Imperial Porcelain designed of 1897. The series included 146 diverse figures from 74 different ethnic groups. A collection originally preserved in the St. Petersburg Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography, can now be studied in the Imperial Porcelain Factory Museum.
