KENNEDY ASSASSINATION PRINTING PLATE FROM 11/22/63 Lead newspaper press plate for the afternoon edition of the Marietta Daily Journal (Georgia) covering the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Note: Due to President Kennedy's support of civil rights, he was seen by some in the South as unpopular. Not all small Southern newspapers would have covered the news in their afternoon editions. This plate is a rare survivor as most were melted down for the next day's printing.
