Note: This Boehm eagle group is a tour de force in porcelain and commemorates the 200th anniversary (1782-1982 of the Bald Eagle being chosen by the founding fathers to represent the new nation. It's complex kiln fired construction is composed of over 300 parts. The two eaglets represent the first two hundred years of the United States and the unhatched egg, the next 100, all placed under the protection of the majestic yet powerful eagle with a fierce expression. This Symbol of Freedom eagle group is numbered 15 and comes from the original owner. Number 1 was presented to President Ronald Reagan on June 10, 1982 from the City of Philadelphia. Condition: Good condition with a possible kiln firing crack on the gnarled branch the eagle is perched on, otherwise no discernible issues.
