  FRIEDRICH WILHELM LION KUHNERT (GERMAN, 1865-1926)Friedrich Wilhelm Lion Kuhnert German, 1865-1926 Three Works Etchings, each signed First a dog begging on back legs and dated 1919 in the plate, impression 12.6" x 7.75" and matted. Second, lioness with cubs in landscape, impression 6.6" x 9.1" and matted. Third, a lion drinking water, impression 2.6" x 4.6" finely matted and in gilt frame. Largest matting: 17 1/2 x 13.4 in. (44.5 x 34 cm.) Condition: The lioness with cubs is on very thin paper with rough outer edges but not effecting the impression.

  AFRICAN SCRIMSHAW ELEPHANT IVORY TUSKAfrican elephant scrimshaw tusk. Signed lower right "L. McLane" (Lois McLane was best known for being the first artist to produce scrimshaw art work to Zippo lighters. Her original work on lighters are quite rare and collectible). The artwork depicts lioness with cubs on African plain. Tusk has been carved to stand on three points, arched upright displaying the artwork. 22 3/4" long x 1 5/8". No cracks or repairs. Good condition light wear commensurate with age. PLEASE NOTE: This is mid-century scrimshaw art on antique, pre-ban African elephant ivory and can be shipped only where allowed by law.
